How to Prepare

There are a plethora of preparedness tips and supplies available from many different sources today, but the two most crucial resources to ensure you have are plenty of food and water, and also heat if you live in a colder climate.  No matter how much planning you do and no matter how many supplies you have, it will all be for nothing if you don’t have an adequate supply of food, water and heat available.

Would you be able to survive and provide for your family should something cause a food shortage or prevent food delivery to your local grocery store?  Do you have adequate non-perishable food and medicine supplies should the effects of a natural disaster prevent you from getting to a store or from anyone delivering food to you? Are you able to cook/prepare the food items you have if you do not have power?  Do you have an alternate water supply should your water become contaminated or in the event of a drought or prolonged power outage?  Would you be able to heat your home in the event of a power outage or shortage?

First answer these questions and address these most crucial needs, then you can move on to researching how you can become more thoroughly prepared with alternate forms of communication and emergency plans for your family.  Check out the Resources below for more information and to get started with your preparedness planning (Isaiah 58:12 is not affiliated with any of the links below and does not receive any resources from these sources or products).
